Phillip Lehrman – a graduate of the University of Southern California School of Music (BM – 1971, MM – 1973), he was a conducting student of Ingolf Dahl and Daniel Lewis. He also studied piano with Michael Tilson Thomas. He was an Assistant Conductor of the Buffalo Philharmonic (1973/74) and the New York Philharmonic (1974/75). From 1974 – 1978 he was an Assistant Professor of Music at the University of Wisconsin-Madison where he directed the University Orchestra. From 1979 – 1989 he was an Associate Professor of Music at Texas Tech University where he conducted the University Orchestra and Opera. He currently lives in Chicago, IL.
